SHOOTING INCIDENT

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur- Shooting incident transpired at Purok Matinabangon, Brgy. Matab-Ang, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 10:20 pm of October 14, 2019.

Dumalinao MPS immediately proceeded to the aforementioned place of incident and victim identified as Junie Morato Delacerna, 39 years old, fruit vendor and a resident of Purok Matinabangon, Brgy. Matab-Ang, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur lying inside their sari-sari store bleeding allegedly shot by unidentified person.

Investigation conducted disclosed that suspect peep outside the window store wherein the victim was sleeping inside and shot four times as evidence recovered of four empty shell of Caliber .45 believed to be used by the suspect who immediately fled to unknown direction.

According to his live-in partner Daylinda Olivar Mabaga, while they were lying inside of their sari-sari store and about to sleep suddenly a burst of fire coming from outside hitting on the different parts of the victim’s body, the victim was immediately brought to Zamboanga del Sur medical center for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by his attending physician.

Personnel of Dumalinao MPS conducted thorough investigation for the possible identity, arrest of the suspect and motive of the incident.

Dead Body Found

DUMALINAO. Zamboanga del Sur - A dead body was found at Purok Camansi, Barangay Camangan, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 8:10 AM of May 25, 2019 particularly at the barrier of the shouldering road. 

The victim was identified as Abdullah Usman Y Anas, 40 year old, married, construction worker (Time Keeper), and a resident of Purok Tuburan, Barangay Balimbingan, Labangan, Zambonga del Sur.

He was identified thru recovered identification card from the victim’s wallet.

Initial investigation disclosed that victim sustained multiple stabbed and hacked wounds on his chest and different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death based on the ocular examination conducted by Provincial Crime Lab Officer and MHO officer Dr. Patrick Kian Tolido.

PNP personnel of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station conducted thorough investigation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the suspects.

2 Arrested in Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation in Zambo Sibugay

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur - Operatives of Regional Drugs Enforcement Unit 9, Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office, Dumalinao Municipal Police Station and PDEA - Zamboanga del Sur conducted buy-bust operation at Golden Hotel, Purok Maabtikon, Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 9:00 PM of May 22, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Roberto Caboverde Gaco, 30 years old, house painter, with live-in partner, and a resident of Purok Golden Shower, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay and Junie Ordineza Espania, 27 years old, single, house painter, and a resident of Brgy. Barandilia, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Confiscated from their possession and control one (1) heat sealed suspected shabu with more or less five (5) grams with estimated market value of Php 34,000.00 and drug buy bust money in the amount of Nineteen Thousand Pesos (Php19,000.00).

Subject suspect were now under the custody of PDEA- Zamboanga del Sur detention cell, while appropriate charge for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared for filing in court.

Rape Suspect Cuffed

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur - PNP personnel of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Edison F Alviar, Officer In-Charge, conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Waling- Waling, Barangay Tickwas, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur7:10 PM, 27 April 2019.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation was resulted to the arrest of Gilbert Navaja Aragon, 28 years old, single, laborer by profession, and a resident of Purok Waling-Waling, Barangay Tickwas, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape, docketed under Criminal Case Number 10152-K11, issued by Hon. Benjamin R Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 22, Pagadian City with no bail bond.

Rape Suspect Arrested

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (April 12, 2019) – Police operatives of Dumalinao MPS led by Police Major Edison F Alviar, Officer In-Charge, conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Gimelina, Barangay Cuatro-Cuatro, Dumalinao Zambonga del Sur at about 9:00 PM, April 12, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the successful operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as Chiquito Sumastre Y Gomez, 50 years old, male, farmer, and a resident of Barangay Cuatro-Cuatro, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape, docketed under Criminal Case No. 14336-2k19, dated 22 March 2019, issued by Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond.

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Dumalinao MPS detention cell while waiting for the commitment order from the court.

Security Guard wounded in Shooting Incident, suspect arrested

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (April 12, 2019) – A Security Guard was wounded in Shooting incident occurred at Purok 2, Barangay Rebokon, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:30 PM of April 12, 2019 particularly at the Gymnasium of Rebokon Agricultural and Vocational National High School.

The victim was identified as Ronald Donting Adorable, 36 year old, married, security guard of Rebokon Agricultural and Vocational National High School, and a resident of Purok 1, Rebokon, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. He was shot several times by unidentified suspect.

Victim sustained gunshot wounds on his body and rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City for immediate medical treatment, while suspect fled to undetermined direction.

Meanwhile, at around 10:00 PM of 12 April 2019, PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS led by Police Major Edison F Alviar, Officer In-Charge, conducted follow-up operation at Purok 1, Barangay Uno, Barangay Rebokon, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur that led to the arrest of suspect identified as Ruel Egang Bungabong, 39 year old, married, farmer by occupation, and resident of same place..

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Dumalinao MPS detention cell while appropriate charge is now being prepared for filing in court.

1 dead, 1 injured in Road Crash Accident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (April 10, 2019) – One person was died while her husbans was seriously injured in Vehicular traffic accident transpired along the Dumalinao-Margosatubig National Highway particularly in Tikwas Bridge situated in Purok Sikatuna, Barangay Tikwas, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:00 PM of April 8, 2019.

Initial investigation disclose that the accident was involving one (V1) Bongo Mazda(dropside), bearing temporary plate #090102, color white, driven by Bernie Sasil Libradilla, 56 year old, married, businessman, resident of Purok Sidlak, Barangay Capisan, Tabina Zamboanga del Sur and (V2) Honda wave 100, color white/ Orange, driven by Ronie Ongue Salobod, 43 year old, married, resident of Jamisola extension, Pagadian City, with his wife (back-rider) identified as Elione Canoy Salobod, 35 year old, married, both resident of Jamisola extension, Pagadian City.

The V1 (Bongo mazda) was traveling from Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur bound to Pagadian City and upon reaching said place of incident the driver accordingly maneuver to the opposite lane which resulted to the collision with the incoming V2 (Honda wave MC) particularly on the headlight (left portion).

As a result hereof the back-rider (victim) of V2 was thrown and fell into the ground below the bridge and were rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for immediate treatment but was declared Dead Upon Arrival (DOA) by the attending Physician while the driver of V2 (husband) suffered serious injuries on different parts of the body.

Both vehicles involved incurred damages and was brought to this office for proper disposition while the suspect was temporarily detained at Dumalinao MPS.

Fire Incident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (March 29, 2019) - Fire incident transpired along the National Highway particularly at Purok Malipayon, Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:30 AM of March 28, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed found out a part of a Lumberyard owned by Esterlita Buenafe, widower and a resident of Pagadian City was set on fire.

One personnel of the said lumberyard identified as Joel Nuya Arcete, laborer, 45 years old, and a resident of same place was awakened by the concerned citizen a passerby of the area who saw the fire incident.

The fire was declared fire out by the Bureau of Fire Personnel at around 12:45 AM of same date.

Possible caused of Fire and estimated caused of damage is yet to be determined by the Fire Investigator.

Top 6 Most Wanted in Labason MPS, Nabbed

DUMALINAO, Zambonga del Sur (March 26, 2019) - PNP personnel of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station together with Labason Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 3, Barangay Calingayan, Dumalinao, Zambonga del Sur at about 5:30 PM, March 24, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Julito Escultor Duran (Top 6 Most Wanted Person- Municipal Level, Labason MPS), 40 years old, male, married, farmer, and a resident of Barangay Lawagan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape, docketed under Criminal Case No. L-002079, dated 17 December 2014, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte with no bail bond.

Vehicular Accident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (March 20, 2019) – Vehicular accident transpired along the national road particularly at Purok Manga, Barangay Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur  at about 2:20 AM of March 19, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted found out two single mc meet into contact with each other in the middle of the road.

Vehicle one (V1) Honda XRM 125 color black and white combination with plate number XY 5093 driven by Abdurakim Ajidi Hammisani, 43 years old, married, Philippine Army and a resident of Bus- Bus, Jolo Sulu en route bound to Tigbao direction and

Vehicle two (V2) Suzuki Raider 150 color Black and red combination with for registration plate attached driven by Julito Romaguira Escalante, 26y/o, single sales boy by profession and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Lacupayan, Barangay Tigbao along with his back rider Kristene Plantar Vellagonzalo, 24 years old, single, Dicer by profession and a resident of Purok Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City en route bound to Pagadian City.

V1 and V2 in opposite direction upon reaching the place of incident crashed head to head collision. That the V2 evaded the white lane DPWH markings (Rumble Strips) on the road which caused a vehicle to rattle not noticing that V1 was also approaching towards his direction as a result the two crashed head on at the center of the road.

Driver of V1 and the back rider of the V2 who sustained injuries to the different parts of their body were immediately rushed by the members of Dumalinao MDRRMO at Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City for treatment while the driver of V1 was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician because of a severe injury to his head.

The driver of V2 who sustained minor injuries to his face and was believed to be under the influence of liquor was brought to the same hospital by the alert team led by PO3 Roberto Soon to be submitted for sobriety test, while the two single mc was brought to the police station for proper disposition.

3 Arrested in Drug Buy Bust Ops

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (March 16, 2019) -Joint elements of PDEA- Zamboanga del Sur together with Provincial Intelligence Branch Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (PIB-ZSPPO), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (PDEU-ZSPPO), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and Dumalinao Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation at Room 301, Golden Hotel, Purok Maabtikon, Brgy. Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 09:30 AM of March 15, 2019.

The operation was resulted in the arrest Edmundo Rais Abalos aka “Bryan”, Ryan Gabunilas Cabilao (HVT- DEPED School Teacher), Sweet Ann Basco Resuelo and Mia Grace Buligan Panganuran aka MG.

Confiscated during the said operation were the following items:

Thirty-three (33) transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with estimated weight of 5 grams worth Thirty-four thousand pesos (Php34,000),

One (1) piece black coin purse served as container of transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu,

One black coin purse,

One (1) matchbox containing several aluminum foils,

Two (2) disposable lighters with improvised needles,

Two (2) disposable lighters,

One (1) aluminum foils with residue,

Two (2) improvised tooter collectively marked,

One (1) plastic pipe,

One (1) scissors and

One (1) Php 1000 bill bearing serial numbers FP887209.

The arrested suspect are now at the custody of PDEA office located at Provincial Capitol Compound Sto.Ñino Pagadian City.

2 minors died in fire incident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 9, 2019) – Two minors were died in fire incident transpired particularly at Purok Talaba, Barangay Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:05 PM of February 8, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted by Dumalinao MPS disclosed that the bunkhouse owned by Robinson Bobo Restojas, 52 years old, married, businessman and a resident of aforesaid place was razed by fire.

There were two minor victims who died during the incident, namely:

1.     three (3) years old girl, a resident of Purok Talaba, Barangay Camanga, Zamboanga Del Sur; and

2.     six (6) years old boy and a resident of Purok Melodia, Barangay Poblacion, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The Investigator on-Case contacted Mr. Camelo Acojedo, Municipal Sanitary Inspector of Dumalinao to conduct post mortem examination upon the cadaver of the victims.

Further investigation revealed that there was a Close Circuit Television (CCTV) monitor installed in the area. Upon review of the footage, it was found out that the two victims entered the bunkhouse at around 4:40 in the afternoon of same date.

Fifteen (15) minutes later, Jucar Rustia Virrey father of one of the victims locked the door of the bunkhouse without noticing the children inside. Flame and heavy smoke engulfed the bunkhouse.

Moreover, a white Montero vehicle owned by Janeth Pamunag Restojas with temporary plate number 4085 parked adjacent of the bunkhouse incurred damages. The approximate amount of damages is still to be determined.

6 Injured in Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 7, 2019) - Six injured in Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at Purok Crossing, Barangay Mecolong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 7:00 PM of February 6, 2019,

The accident was involving one (1) tricycle Kawasaki Barako 125 with plate number JY 9019 and Cab number 0809 driven by Casimiro Tagra Ricabar Jr, 37 years old, married and a resident of Purok Panaghiusa Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur with six (6) passengers on board.

Initial investigation conducted Dumalinao MPS that the said tricycle (motorcycle) traversing from Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zds bound to Barangay Matab-ang, Dumalinao, Zds, upon reaching the said place of incident the said tricycle lost its break that caused the driver loses control of the driven motorcycle accidentally fell down at nearby cliff that resulted the passengers incurred injuries to the different part of their bodies.

The passengers were identified as:

(1) Leah Briones Tadlas, 63 years old, widow, resident of Purok Gimelina, Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zds;

(2) Dona Villa Morales, 32 years old, married, a day care teacher, a resident of Purok Acasia, Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao,

(3) A- 5 years old boy;

(4) 15 years old boy, Grade 8 student, a resident of Purok Buli, Barangay Pinig Libano; Dumalinao, Zds;

(5) a-13 years old girl, a resident of Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zds;

(6) Mary Jane Diez Ricabar, married, 28 years old, housewife, a resident of Purok Panaghiusa, Barangay Paglaum Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The six (6) passengers were immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment.

The subject tricycle is now under custody of Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

Furthermore, PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS proceeded to the hospital for follow up investigation and found out that one passenger Leah Briones Tadlas declared dead by the attending physician.

2 Murder Suspects Arrested

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 7, 2019) - PNP Personnel of Dumalinao MPS and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZDSPMFC) conducted joint police operation on wanted person at about 10:30 AM of February 6, 2019 at Purok Kalikasa and Purok Centro, Brgy Metokong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Basilio But-ay Amodia, 55 y/o, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Centro and Lito But-ay Amodia, 44 y/o, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Kalikasa, Brgy. Metokong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case Number 11321-2k14 for the crime of Murder issued by Presiding Judge of Branch 21, Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City with no bail recommended.

The arrested subject persons are now under the custody of Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

Fisherman Held for Murder Charges

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - On February 01, 2019 at about 4:15 AM, PNP Personnel of Dumalinao MPS and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZDSPMFC) conducted joint police operation on wanted person at Purok Lapu-lapu, Barangay White Beach, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Roland Dalinding, 34 y/o, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok Centro, Barangay Metokong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur by virtue of warrant of arrest under Criminal Case Number 11377-2k13 for the crime of Murder issued by Presiding Judge Dennis P. Vicoy of Branch 21, Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City with no bail recommended.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.       

Shooting Incident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Jan. 27, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Gemilina, Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 AM of January 27, 2019. The incident was reanspired particularly at the boarding house owned by certain Eufemia E Nazara, 70 years old, married and resident of said place.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Ryan Contenedas Berdos, 27 years old, single, sales boy by occupation, and resident of said place, while the suspect identified as Novie Lanurias Alpante (Live- in Partner of victim), 23 years old, single, and resident of Purok Talisay, Barangay Pag-asa, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and suspect were having a heated argument thru cellular phone call a night before the incident happened.

At around 5:00 AM of 27 January 2019, the latter (suspect) went to the boarding house of the former (victim) at the above-mentioned place of incident carrying with her a caliber 45 pistol which was placed/hidden inside the biscuit canister.

Upon arrival, the suspect confronted and scared the victim for having a love affair with other girl in which the latter (suspect) could no longer support/sustained the basic needs of their five (5) years old son.

Minutes later, while on the course of their argument, the duo allegedly began to scuffle with the gun and the suspect managed to get hold of the gun and accidentally shot the victim hitting on the left portion of the head.

The victim was rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City but was declared dead by the attending physician around 10:50 in the morning of same date.

Evidence recovered from the crime scene are one (1) empty shell of caliber 45 pistol, and one (1) unit caliber 45 pistol, bearing serial number 461859, with one (1) live ammunition on chamber inserted with magazine loaded with five (5) ammunitions.

The suspect is now under the custody of Dumalinao MPS, while appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court.
